The long-awaited Friendly Manager App has arrived, bringing every Friendly Manager club together in one connected space. 

The first release introduces Chats and Notices, making club communication faster and easier than ever before.

It’s a game-changer for everyone involved in club life, from administrators and coaches to parents and members.

Best of all, the app connects directly to each club’s Friendly Manager account, so setup is simple and familiar. Every message and update stays linked to the system clubs already use to manage memberships and payments.

The mobile app is included in all Friendly Manager member-based plans.

Group messaging that keeps the right people connected

The group chat feature helps teams and groups stay connected. Club administrators can enable chat for selected groups or teams through their Friendly Manager portal, providing members with an easy way to communicate without relying on external apps. 

New members who join during the term/season are automatically added to the corresponding group chat. This keeps everyone in the right place from their first signup and supports strong engagement from day one.

A group chat is ideal for sharing updates that keep everyone in sync, such as a coach reminding players about a venue change, or a team manager posting weekend game times.

For smaller, focused conversations, members can create breakout group chats. These are perfect for discussions that don’t need to include the entire team, such as parents arranging carpooling or committee members finalising uniform orders. 

By allowing these small subgroup chats, the app reduces noise and keeps conversations relevant.

Targeted updates sent directly to members’ phones

The notices function provides a fast and reliable channel for important club updates. Administrators can send targeted notices to selected groups or teams, ensuring the right people receive information on their phones when it matters.

Whether it’s a last-minute change to game time or a reminder about upcoming registrations, push notifications appear instantly on mobile devices. Because these updates surface directly as alerts, they are far more visible and dependable than email alone.

Familiar colours, logos, and design built in

Clubs can customise the Friendly Manager App to reflect their own identity. 

By adding their logo, selecting club colours, and uploading background images, each organisation can create a recognisable experience that feels familiar to its members.

For families with children in different sports or individuals active across several organisations, the Friendly Manager App brings all their clubs together. Any organisation that uses Friendly Manager as its club management system can be connected in the app.

Members have an overview page showing all their connected clubs and all club messages in one place, with the ability to switch between clubs effortlessly. When a notification arrives, the app makes it clear which club it relates to, helping users keep track of updates across busy schedules.

This unified view allows families to follow all their children’s teams and activities without juggling multiple logins or navigating different communication channels.

Meaningful exposure for community supporters

Sponsorship plays a vital role in community sport, and the app provides clubs a fresh and reliable way to showcase their supporters.

Clubs can create their own sponsor banner and upload it to the dedicated sponsor promo space on their app homepage. Because this space displays the sponsor’s logo and message within the core app interface, where members regularly manage their club activities, it delivers ongoing, high-visibility exposure.

This consistent presence helps reinforce sponsor recognition and strengthens the connection between local businesses and the communities they support.

Future features on the way

Development continues beyond this first release, with upcoming additions planned for event management, attendance tracking, and digital club ID cards. 

These features will further expand how clubs organise their term/seasons and keep members engaged.

The Friendly Manager App is now available on both the App Store and Google Play.

Before inviting members to download the app, club administrators must opt in through this link and complete the initial setup from their Friendly Manager portal.

Once this is done, users can download the app, connect to their existing Friendly Manager clubs, and begin communicating directly through the new mobile app.

To learn more about the setup process, club admins can log in to the Friendly Manager portal, go to Help, and look for the Mobile App section.
