In this session, we'll guide you through creating a competition, adding schools or clubs, and incorporating them into further competitions if needed.
- Creating a Competition:
- Navigate to the competitions section and click the "Add Competition" button.
- Name the competition appropriately to differentiate it from others.
- Select a sport from the dropdown menu. Note that the sport choice affects various aspects of the competition.
- Set the start and end dates, signup period, player cutoff dates, and exclusion cutoff.
- Choose additional options like referee requirement and player grade selection.
- Click "Save" to create the competition.
- Adding a Division:
- After creating the competition, click the "Add Division" button.
- Name the division clearly, considering factors like age group or gender.
- Set options such as score entry, age cutoff, and whether the division is mixed.
- Add a fee for the division if applicable.
- Click "Save" to create the division.
- Adding Schools or Clubs:
- Go to the "Club/Schools" tab within the competitions section and click the "Add Club or School" button.
- Fill in the necessary information, focusing on the club or school name.
- Optionally, upload an image for the club or school.
- Add a contact (club or school manager) by clicking the "Add Contact" button and filling in the required details.
- Click "Save" to add the club or school.
- Adding Teams:
- Under the "Teams" section, select the appropriate competition and click "Add Team."
- Enter details such as team name, age group, and team manager.
- Once added, the team manager can further add players to the team.
By following these steps, you can efficiently create a competition, add schools or clubs, and manage teams within the system.
